Brandon Cheek is a self-taught artist based in Beacon, New York. Working across pencil, pen and ink, acrylic, and oil, he creates layered, meditative compositions that explore the space between inner experience and the unknown. Developed over three decades, his visual language is defined by controlled line work, evolving symbols, and rhythmic graphic forms that invite sustained viewing. Cheek translates intuition into color, pattern, and iconography, building paintings that resist fixed conclusions and instead unfold through discovery. His work investigates the tension between human perception and realities that feel just beyond the material world. Largely independent of traditional institutions, he has exhibited in alternative and community spaces, cultivating a practice driven by curiosity, discipline, and personal truth. Cheek continues to live and work in the Hudson Valley.
